Helping our Community

Bread of Life Ministry

St. Anne’s Parish is a part of the Scottsville Bread of Life Ministry that was formed in 1995 by a group of dedicated volunteers from the local churches in Scottsville with the aim of working together to bring food and supplies to those in need in the community. The Bread of Life Ministry distributes food and other essentials to those who request help. Each of the contributing churches (St. Anne’s Episcopal Parish, Scottsville United Methodist, Scottsville Baptist, Scottsville Presbyterian and St. George’s Catholic Church) takes a turn at leading this group effort. (St. Anne’s months are May, September and January.) If you would like to be part of this ministry, come to the Scottsville Community Center (rear entrance) the third Friday of the month at 2:00 p.m. to help pack up the food, and third Saturday of the month at 8:00 a.m. to pass out the food. For more information, please contact the parish office at 286-3437. You can also help the Bread of Life Ministry by sending a donation to:  St. Anne's Parish, P.O. Box 337, Scottsville, VA  24590 (marked Bread of Life).      2015_newsletter_BREAD_OF_LIFE_MINISTRY.pdf
