Liturgical Ministries

Worship is central to the life of the church. Liturgy, which shapes our worship, is, by definition, “the work of the people.”

Acolytes assist the clergy during the worship service.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing the church for all worship services.  For more information contact the Guild's Chairperson, Deborah Sellers.

The choir supports congregational singing, and sings an anthem during the preparation of the gifts at Sunday and Holy Day celebrations of the Eucharist.  For more info contact organist, Cenie Re Sturm.

Flower Ministry

Our Flower Ministry assists the Altar Guild by preparing the flowers for the altar every Sunday. All parishioners are asked to be part of this ministry by commemorating anniversaries, birthdays, memorials etc., with flowers for the altar. A sign-up sheet is in the rear of the church. For more information, contact John Langhorne.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers

A Eucharistic Minister is a lay person licensed by the Bishop to administer the consecrated elements of Bread and Wine at celebrations of the Holy Eucharist.

Lectors are those who read the assigned scripture readings for the day. Anyone with a love of scripture and a good speaking voice can be a Lector after a short training session.

Eucharistic Visitors

Our lay Eucharistic Vistors are licensed by the Bishop to take the consecrated elements of Bread and Wine to members of the parish who are sick or shut-in immediately following the Sunday Eucharist.
